Did you know, the digestive tract in just about any human, is supposed to contain about three pounds of bacteria and yeasts? When kept in good balance these bacteria are actually crucial for digestion and other important bodily functions. But from time to time the body does get out of balance and invites forging parasites into the body.

If you suspect you have a parasite, probably because you’re suffering from an unusual rash, unexplained digestion upsets, and general tiredness. There are a variety of natural and safe ways to remove them from your body without causing any ill side effects.

1. Cut Out Sugar

Yeast and bacteria thrive on sugar. If you suspect you have a parasite, cut out the sugar in your diet for a week or two and starve them out. This is both natural and refined sugars, so not even honey or stevia should pass your lips for those 1-2 weeks.

2. Probiotics

What? PRO-biotics? Yeah, probiotics. They support the growth of the helpful bacteria in your body, which is depleted by the other more harmful bacteria. Fortifying your body against them and future invaders.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been shown to help normalize your body’s PH balance, improve digestion, and even make your skin look better. On top of that, it’s also very effective against unnatural organisms living in your digestive tracts. Simply take a spoonful before you eat your meals. It tastes terrible, but it is amazing for your body, and eventually, the taste won’t be an issue.

4. Herbs And Spices

There are a variety of useful herbs and spices for removing parasites and worms. Peppermint oil, parsley, rosemary, and quite often thyme as well. One of the best is cloves because clove will kill off the eggs as well as living bacteria. So will eating cinnamon and more intense spices like Cayenne. Cinnamon won’t cause too much side-effect wise, but be wary of cayenne. Make sure you do research on the herb/spice specifically before you start consuming an excess amount of these.

5. Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth (DE) really is a miracle product. It occurs naturally and comes in a variety of styles. Some aren’t safe to consume but are great deterrents for bugs (like bedbugs). Make sure the one you’re selecting is food-safe (it will be very clearly labelled), and take about a tablespoon at a time.

6. Extracts

Black walnut, Wormwood, Oregano, and Grapefruit seed extracts are famous for their parasite killing properties. You can usually find these in health food stores, in bottles ready for dosing out. Taken in water or tea up to 3 X a day can drastically change the way you’re feeling. Make sure you’re following the instructions on the bottle and doing your research on which you’re taking and how it might interact with your body and other things you might be taking.

7. Juice Fast

Juice fasts are some of the most popular of the colon cleanse ideas. A colon cleanse can help with your overall colon and digestive system’s health, but make sure you’re doing one that’s good for you. Sugar helps the bacteria grow, so make sure you’re using juice with pulp, and lots of fibre, otherwise you won’t be able to digest the sugar properly and just make the whole situation worse.
