On the second decade of the 21st century, the risks that comes with having a sexual intercourse have increased. In the year 2016, the sole real bright spot is that the case of the teenage pregnancy are going down, at last. Well, this isn’t what entirely this article will talk about. In this article, we are going to discuss about some advice on safe sex. So if you want to learn more about it, feel free to give this article a read.

The Health Risks that Comes with Sex

As what I said above, in the second decade of the 21st century, various menaces that has something to do with having sex has increased. In fact, in the year 2016, the sole real bright spot is the lower rate of teenage pregnancy.

All the figures for gonorrhea, chlamydia, as well as HIV are all going the same direction –up! Furthermore, syphilis has become so much common as well in the year 2015 to 2016. Well, this is almost mainly because a lot of people, whether they are homosexuals or heterosexuals or bisexuals do not practice safe sex. Various recent studies demonstrate that some countries like Britain is now a promiscuous place to live in.

Moreover, statistics also show that men and women are actually taking more sexual partners than they usually do. Various practices like indulging in multiple sex, joining sex clubs, and attending to orgies, are quite widespread now. In the gay world of some men, multi-partner saunas and cottaging keeps on being so popular. Further, in a lot of these instances, people tend to not use condoms.

Even though the number of cases of teenage pregnancy is falling, the under 20 years old are now losing their own virginity at a very young age. Not only that, they lose it at an age wherein they don’t have any idea of how to protect themselves against any undesirable consequences of sexual intercourse.

Very inevitable, there are some times when the teenage lovemaking, rather than being fulfilling and beautiful, actually leads to disaster. Justifiably, in all the age groups, many men and women actually think that those things won’t occur to them. However, in 2015, there are a lot of sexual infections, a lot more sexual infections pop up. Thus, making them more cautious and careful.

Advice on Safe Sex: What are the risks of not being safe?

One great advice on safe sex that I want to say is knowing what are the risks of unsafe sex. The main ones are as follow:

  • Female infertility, which is due to the pelvic infection caused by sex.
  • Cervical cancer.
  • Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV that can cause AIDS
  • Various STIs like viral warts, pubic lice, and herpes. Most especially, the 21st century major risk: chlamydia.
  • STIs like syphilis and gonorrhea.
  • Unwanted pregnancy.

It is nearly unavoidable that the other sexual infections will rise during the century we are in now. Most especially if the human race we are in continues to go in for unsafe sex. Furthermore, the germs have a revolting way of taking advantage of the behavior of people. This is the reason why soon after the swinging 60s-70s, HIV and herpes abruptly emerged.

Back in the 20th century, a lot of people both gay and straight, enjoy having sex with a range of partners, of course, assuming that there’s very few danger. Unluckily though, this is not the case anymore. Since the rates of disease have already increased very much. Note, even those with the age of 60 and above gets affected by it. So in today’s day and time, it is just common sense that we practice safe sex. That, I believe is a great advice on safe sex!

Safe Sex: What is this?

You can say that the only completely safe kind of sex is masturbation. Theoretically, all the sexual activity with a partner may carry some risks, even though the danger of the infection is essentially non-existent if two people are really faithful with each other.

Caressing with the use of hands is a justly safe form of sex. Further, it is certainly much less dangerous than a sexual intercourse. Therefore, if you are a teenager and keep on caressing, you will certainly be safe.

What about you caress using your mouth?

Well, this is a bit riskier, as it may pass on some infections, including herpes and gonorrhea. However, at least, it may not get you pregnant. Furthermore, it is now well-known that the oral sex may pass one HIV. Nevertheless, there is just a few risk regarding it. However, in 2013, it became so clear that oral sex may also pass on chlamydia –another reason to be careful.

4 Sex Tips to Remember

Apart from the advice on safe sex that you get to know above, you may also take with you the following sex tips:

  • Remember that alcohol might make you forget all that you know about practicing safe sex. Do not drink too much if you will have sex later!
  • If you don’t have sex with somebody who’s not your faithful, regular partner, use condom all the way.
  • If you do not want to conceive, use some contraception methods.
  • Avoid any casual sex.
