If you are venturing into an HCG diet, one thing that may be on the back of your mind is how you will control the hunger cravings you may feel during this period. While it is true that you may have some cravings early on in the diet plan, it will subside as the days pass by. And to help you deal with such urges, we list out five ways to keep your hunger pangs in check.
1. Drink Water
Make sure that you lots of water. That should help you keep the hunger within control. Drinking water will fill your stomach and make it feel fuller. Plus, it has absolutely no calories. And considering that you are on a 500 calorie diet, drinking water is definitely a good way to control hunger with no risk of exceeding the calorie limits.
2. Eat Salad
If you do have to eat something, then consider eating a salad rich in green leafs and other healthy veggies. They are also very low in calories, and therefore make a good choice. One cup of lettuce only has about 5 calories. Mix it up with other plants, and you can easily satisfy your hunger without piling on the calories.
3. Control Your Emotions
Some people have a tendency to feel the need to consume lots of food when certain emotions are triggered. It can be anxiety, depression, anger, boredom or anything else. Such emotions usually cause a person to become restless, making him want to eat food. And during an HCG diet, when you are already running on low calories, such uncontrolled emotions can easily veer you away from the strict regimen. So, make sure that you are in a good emotional state while on the HCG diet. You can also do some meditation to calm your mind and relieve yourself from stress.
4. Eat Less Food More Times
Spread out your food throughout the whole day. So, rather than just eat 4 meals totalling 500 calories, eat 7 meals totalling 500 calories. By eating all through the day, you give yourself something to chew on every few hours and your stomach gets food to digest regularly.
5. Take A Pickle
Have a pickle jar nearby? If so, take a pickle and eat it. Since they are veggies, they are low in calories. And the vinegar is already approved during the HCG Diet. So, that’s not an issue either. A valuable side benefit of eating pickles is that you will immediately feel the need to drink water. And the more you eat, the more you will drink, which will eventually make you feel full and reduce the hunger.
So, if you are on a diet based on HCG Triumph or anything else, use the above tips to control any sudden hunger pangs.
